Our driver, Mehmet, is actually what I remember first from that afternoon. The transfer from our hotel to the hamam was smooth and quiet, watching the autumn light fade over Bodrum through the minibus windows while the group chatted softly. There was a short wait when we arrived, but lockers and towels were ready and the staff guided us calmly. After the warm steam room and scrub, the return ride felt almost silent, everyone half-asleep and relaxed, like the day had been gently rinsed away.
