What stuck with me most was watching the lights of Marmaris fade behind us as the catamaran picked up speed across a very calm, grey Aegean. Travelling in winter with a few friends, we really appreciated the enclosed, warm seating and the surprisingly smooth crossing. The crew were efficient getting everyone boarded, and hotel pickup to the port made the start of the day straightforward. There was a bit of a queue at passport control on both sides, so the actual time in the Old Town of Rhodes felt a touch tight, but the swift return trip and the comfort on board more than balanced it out.

Booked this last minute as part of a larger group and it turned out to be a very relaxed day. The hotel pickup was on time and getting onto the high-speed catamaran was straightforward, even with the passport checks. Crossing the Aegean in the softer autumn light felt calm rather than hectic, and we had plenty of hours to wander the medieval Old Town at our own pace without being rushed back. The only minor downside was a short queue at the port on the Rhodes side, but it was manageable. Overall, a smooth, unhurried way to get a taste of the island.

Expected a bit of a faff, but the catamaran was quick and smooth. Spent ages nursing a tiny Greek coffee in Rhodes Old Town. Only gripe: queue for passport control felt slow in the autumn chill.

Hotel pick-up was bang on time and the high-speed catamaran was smoother than I expected for our group. Rhodes Old Town was brilliant to wander, though queueing in the summer heat at passport control was a bit draining.

The friendly mix of families and older couples on the catamaran made the crossing really relaxed. Hotel pickup was smooth, though passport control queues in Rhodes were a bit slow in the spring heat.

Future travelers, this day trip was a real pleasure from start to finish. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the hotel pickup right on time and the smooth ride to the port. The catamaran crossing in the soft autumn light felt calm and comfortable, even if boarding involved a bit of waiting in the queue. The real highlight for me was simply wandering the medieval streets of the Old Town of Rhodes and suddenly hearing church bells echo between the stone walls. Having total freedom for the day suited me perfectly: I could sit on a quiet square with a coffee, explore the fortifications at my own pace, and still be back at the port without stress. Just remember your passport and some cash, and enjoy letting the day unfold.

Felt almost like commuting with a small temporary community rather than doing a solo trip. On the catamaran, people quickly started chatting, swapping tips about Rhodes Old Town and comparing spring travel plans. The crossing was smooth and fairly quick, with just a short wait at the port in Marmaris that felt a bit disorganized. Once in Rhodes, I walked with two other solo travelers from the group through the medieval streets, then we split up and met again at the return ferry. Hotel pickup and drop-off worked well and kept everyone together, which made the day feel relaxed and social.

Salt on the air and kids laughing on deck as the catamaran cut across the Aegean, with Rhodes’ stone walls growing clearer in the bright heat. Views were gorgeous, though boarding felt a bit slow in the sun.

Almost forgot it was autumn, crossing the Aegean on that smooth, fast catamaran with my partner. Hotel pickup was punctual; only minor issue was a short queue at Rhodes passport control.

Booked this last minute with my partner and loved the relaxed pace. Smooth catamaran ride, easy hotel pickup, then hours wandering Rhodes Old Town. It was hot and queues at passport control were a bit slow, but still a great summer day out.

Almost without noticing, we were already leaving Marmaris behind, watching the Turkish coast fade while drinking a small coffee from the catamaran bar. I went with my parents, and the smooth, fast crossing felt perfect for them, even if the air-conditioning inside was a bit too strong, so we kept our light jackets on. Arriving directly by the port and walking straight into the old town of Rhodes felt very simple and relaxed. We wandered slowly through the narrow streets, bought some warm pastries from a tiny bakery, and ate them on a stone bench near the medieval walls. Having the hotel pickup and drop-off included removed a lot of stress, so we could focus on the day itself instead of logistics. Looking back now, it feels like a calm autumn pause between two countries, held together by good coffee, pastries, and sea views.

The first thing I remember is the salty air at Marmaris port and the low hum of the catamaran engines warming up. Logistics were actually the best part of this day: hotel pickup was right on time, the minibus had air conditioning that really mattered in the July heat, and check-in at the terminal was straightforward with the printed ticket. Boarding the high-speed catamaran felt organized, with staff clearly directing everyone to the right gate. The ride itself was smooth and quicker than I expected, and we arrived in Rhodes with plenty of hours to explore the Old Town on our own. On the way back there was a small queue at passport control in the port, which meant standing in the sun for a while, but the return transfer was waiting and took me directly back to my hotel without any confusion. Overall, for a solo traveler who cares about timing and simple, clear arrangements, this was a very efficient way to fit Rhodes into a Marmaris holiday.

For anyone curious about the sea crossing itself: the catamaran was fast, smooth, and surprisingly quiet. We sat upstairs with our friends, jackets on against the autumn wind. The views of the Turkish coast fading and Rhodes’ walls appearing were worth the early start. Boarding in Marmaris was a bit chaotic with queues, but hotel pickup to the port made logistics simple.

Almost skipped this, but the catamaran was fast, on time, and hotel pickup made it super easy. Bit of waiting at passport control in the heat, but then straight into Rhodes Old Town.

The first thing that hit me was the salty smell of the sea as we boarded the catamaran in the cool autumn morning air. Our group was quite mixed in age, but the crossing was smooth and comfortable, with enough space to grab a coffee and just watch the Turkish coast fade behind us. Arriving in Rhodes, we walked straight into the old town and found a tiny café on a side street where we shared a plate of grilled halloumi and a cold beer under the stone arches. That little food stop ended up being my favourite part of the day. The hotel pickup and drop-off in Marmaris made the logistics very easy. Only minor downside: passport control in both directions took a bit longer than expected, so we had slightly less time in town than we hoped. Still, for a relaxed autumn day of wandering medieval streets and snacking our way through Greece, this trip did exactly what we wanted.

Booked this last minute with a group of friends and it turned into one of the nicest days of our trip. The catamaran ride itself was the highlight for me: calm spring sea, clear views of the Turkish coast slowly shrinking behind us and Rhodes appearing in front. The Old Town is right by the port, so you’re walking past medieval walls within minutes. There was a bit of a queue at passport control both ways, but nothing dramatic. Hotel pickup and drop-off were on time, and having that sorted made the whole day feel very relaxed.

Went in with fairly modest expectations, but the day turned out very pleasant. The hotel pickup was on time and the catamaran crossing was smoother and quicker than I thought, with nice views of the coastline in the clear spring light. The best part was simply wandering the narrow streets of Rhodes Old Town with our small group, stopping for a quiet coffee in a shaded courtyard. There was a bit of waiting at passport control on both sides, so keep your documents ready and a light jacket for the breeze, but overall it was a relaxed and easy way to get a taste of the island.

Ferry was on time and hotel pickup made it easy for my parents. Good value just for the fast catamaran and walking Rhodes Old Town, though the port tax queue took a while in the spring heat.

For anyone considering this, think of it as a relaxed autumn escape more than a packed guided tour. I went alone and really appreciated how smooth the hotel pickup and port check-in were; it felt almost like a commuter routine, but in a good, efficient way. The small surprise was the quiet moment on the catamaran ride back, when most people were dozing and I could watch the lights of Marmaris appear while the sea was already dark. In Rhodes, walking straight from the port into the medieval Old Town was very easy, and I had enough hours to just wander the narrow streets without rushing. One minor downside: boarding both ways involved some queuing in the wind, so a light jacket was very useful. Overall, a simple, well-organised way to get a full day in another country without any stress.

For anyone considering a simple day out from Marmaris, this trip to Rhodes did exactly what we hoped, without drama. The hotel pickup was on time and the transfer to the port was straightforward, which matters when you have two kids and a stroller. The catamaran crossing was fast, though the indoor area felt a bit crowded and warm on the way back in the late afternoon. Walking straight from the harbor into the medieval old town was very convenient. We spent most of the day wandering the narrow streets and sitting in shaded squares with ice cream. It was not a guided tour, so you need to plan your own route, but that suited our family pace. Overall, it matched our expectations and gave us a relaxed change of scenery for one summer day.

Felt like we had just settled on the catamaran and suddenly Rhodes was already in front of us. The light on the sea in the early spring morning was really soft, perfect for photos through the big front windows. We were a larger group of friends and spent most of the day wandering around the medieval Old Town, taking way too many pictures of stone arches and the city walls. Hotel pickup and drop-off worked smoothly, only a short wait at the port on the way back. Not a big issue, just a bit chilly in the shade, so bring a light jacket. Overall a relaxed, photo-heavy day out across the water.

Hotel pickup was punctual and the catamaran ride over with my partner was smooth, with soft autumn light on the sea. Rhodes Old Town offered great photo spots, especially along the city walls. Only minor downside: a bit of queuing at the port immigration both ways.

Cold sea air and the low hum of the catamaran set the mood. Reaching Rhodes Old Town with its stone alleys and fortress walls was worth the slightly slow passport control queue.

Cold sea air and the low hum of the catamaran engines set the mood as we left Marmaris in the early light. The crossing itself was smooth and quick, and my kids loved standing by the window watching the wake behind us. From the port in Rhodes it was an easy walk straight into the old town, where the winter sun made the stone walls glow softly for our photos. We caught a lovely family shot under one of the old arches just before sunset. Only small issue was a slow passport queue both ways, so keep some snacks handy for children. Hotel pickup and drop-off were punctual, which kept the day stress-free.

The small detail that stood out first was how smoothly the hotel pickup and port check-in were handled; it was much more organized than I expected. The catamaran ride to Rhodes was calm despite the early autumn breeze, and the old town walls right outside the port were exactly the kind of medieval setting I had hoped for. Plenty of free time to wander on my own, grab a coffee, and just sit near the stone alleys. There was a bit of a queue for passport control both ways, which ate into the day slightly, but overall the trip matched what was promised and felt like a relaxed change of scene from Marmaris.
Joined this catamaran day trip to Rhodes with my wife and really appreciated how the staff handled communication from start to finish. The representative at Marmaris port spoke clear English, repeated the key points slowly about passport checks, return time, and where to find the catamaran, which made us feel very relaxed. On board, the crew walked through the aisles to answer questions individually, not just over the loudspeaker. There was a bit of waiting in the summer heat during boarding, but it was manageable. Walking from the port straight into the medieval Old Town later was very smooth thanks to their clear instructions.

Booked this last minute as a day out with our group from Marmaris and it turned out to be good value. The hotel pickup was on time and the catamaran crossing was smooth, even though the autumn wind made it a bit chilly on deck. Walking straight from the port into Rhodes Old Town felt very convenient, and we appreciated not having to worry about port taxes or ferry tickets. Only minor issue was a longer queue at passport control on the way back, so factor that into your evening plans.
