Booked this last minute while staying in Fethiye and was impressed with how smoothly the logistics ran. Pick‑up from my hotel was right on the stated time and the minibus was clean and properly heated, which mattered on a cool January morning. The drive up to the ancient ruins and later on to the canyon felt well organised, with clear timings so I always knew how long we had at each stop. Lunch at the Yakapark restaurant was simple but filling, and the return drop‑off was punctual. Only minor downside was a short wait while the guide sorted entrance tickets for everyone, but overall it was a very well‑run day out for a solo traveller.

Went in expecting a standard coach trip and ended up with some of the best photos from our whole holiday. The afternoon light over the rock-cut tombs at Tlos made the cliffs glow, and our kids loved spotting tiny goats on the ruins. Saklikent Gorge was cooler than the autumn air outside, so a light jacket was handy once the sun dipped. There was a bit of waiting around at Yakapark Restaurant before lunch, but the shaded terraces and the sound of the water made it easy to pass the time while snapping family shots by the streams.

For the price, this was very decent value: hotel pickup, a proper lunch at Yakapark and a comfortable bus. Entrance fees and drinks do add up slightly, but walking into Saklikent’s cool canyon in spring more than balanced that out.

Spectacular. The drive out from Fethiye kept revealing new layers of mountains, with dusty olive groves giving way to bright green valleys, and our guide pointed out little hillside villages as we went. At Tlos, the rock-cut tombs perched above the ruins looked almost golden in the midday sun. Saklikent itself was a complete contrast: cold, milky-blue water rushing between sheer canyon walls, with tiny waterfalls dripping down beside the walkways. Lunch at Yakapark was in a shady spot under trees, with the sound of running water in the background, which was very welcome in the summer heat. The only downside was a slightly crowded minibus on the way back, but the scenery throughout the day more than made up for it.

The quiet hum of the air-conditioned minibus was a relief after stepping out into the dry August heat. My friend and I spent quite a bit of the day on the road, and surprisingly that became one of the nicest parts. The drive up to Tlos wound slowly through small villages and olive groves, and our guide used that time to point out ruins on distant hillsides and explain some background about Lycia without rushing. Seats were comfortable enough, though the bus was almost full, so legroom felt a bit tight for taller people. The stretch from Tlos to Yakapark was especially scenic, with cooler air and the sound of running water when we stopped for lunch. Later, heading to Saklikent Gorge, the contrast from the bright, dusty road to the shaded canyon was very noticeable. The timing between stops was well organized, never felt like we were just being shuttled around, more like each segment of the ride connected the story of the day.

The change from coach to the Dalyan river boat was straightforward, with the guide clearly explaining timings so no one was left guessing. Having set times for the mud baths and then Iztuzu Beach meant the day never felt rushed, even with a larger group. Our guide Ali set the tone straight away with clear info on what was included and what would cost extra, which I really appreciated. Transfers from Fethiye, the river boat, and the mud baths were all covered in the price, so there were no surprises apart from drinks and small fees. The river cruise past the rock tombs felt like very good value on its own, and the time at Iztuzu Beach was generous. Lunch was fine but quite basic. For a full summer day out with transport and a guide, it worked out as money well spent for me and my partner.
