Funny how it’s the people you remember first. A few days on, I keep thinking about the mix on the boat – couples, a retired pair from Scotland, some students – all chatting quietly as we cruised towards Butterfly Valley. My partner and I ended up sharing sunscreen tips with strangers while dangling our feet off the side. The stop at the Blue Lagoon was the moment everyone finally relaxed properly; half the boat in the water, the rest just stretched out in the spring sun. Lunch was basic but filling, served with that slightly chaotic charm you only get on a small boat. Transfers from Fethiye made the whole day feel easy, even if the minibus back was a bit cramped. Looking back, it felt like spending a day with temporary friends rather than a random tour group.

Ended up being better value than expected for a full day out. The transfers from Fethiye were on time, and once on the boat the crew kept things ticking along without fuss. Lunch was simple but filling, and it was nice not to be constantly upsold. Swimming at the Blue Lagoon in winter light was surprisingly pleasant, though the breeze was a bit sharp once you got out. Butterfly Valley itself was quieter at this time of year, which suited our group. Only slight downside was a bit of hanging about while everyone reboarded at each stop, but overall you get a lot included for the price.

Jack, our guide on the boat, quietly kept an eye on everyone and somehow always appeared just as the tea was running low. The lunch was simple but decent – grilled chicken, pasta and a fresh tomato-cucumber salad – nothing fancy, yet it hit the spot after a swim in the cooler autumn water at Butterfly Valley and Gemiler Bay. There was a bit of faffing about while picking up other passengers from hotels, but once we were out on the water the day felt very easygoing and unhurried.

Our guide Mehmet made the day. His English was clear, easy to follow, and he repeated key times and safety points without sounding robotic. On the way to Butterfly Valley he explained the bays we passed with a few short stories, then left us to enjoy the view. Lunch on the boat was decent but quite basic. Spring sun was warm rather than scorching, so drifting near the Blue Lagoon and hopping in for swims felt very relaxed. Went with a close friend and the whole day ran smoothly, with just a brief wait for a couple of late pickups in the morning.

Ended up being a really chilled day out with friends. Slow cruise, plenty of time to float around at Butterfly Valley and Cold Water Bay. Lunch was decent, though the boat felt a bit packed at times.

The first thing that comes back to me is the cool salt smell as the boat left Fethiye, even in January. I went with a close friend and, for the price, it felt very fair value: hotel pickup, a full day on the water, and a hot lunch cooked on board that was more generous than we expected. Swimming at Butterfly Valley and later in the Blue Lagoon was chilly but manageable if you brought layers for the deck. The crew were relaxed but attentive, checking everyone was comfortable. Only minor gripe was that drinks on board added up a bit, but overall we both felt we got a lot for what we paid.

Future travellers, go for this if you enjoy sharing a day with a mixed crowd. My partner and I ended up chatting with a retired couple from Manchester over lunch on the boat, swapping stories while watching the cliffs of Butterfly Valley slide past. The sea in February was chilly but swimmable for the braver ones, and the crew kept spirits up with gentle jokes and clear instructions. There was a bit of hanging around while everyone got back on board after the Blue Lagoon stop, but it actually gave us time to talk more with the group and enjoy the quieter winter light on the water.

The salty breeze on the minibus ride set the tone for a long but well-organised day. Pickup from my Fethiye hotel was right on time and the transfer to the boat was straightforward, with clear instructions about timings at Butterfly Valley and the Blue Lagoon. There was a bit of waiting around in the heat before boarding, but once on, the schedule ran smoothly. The crew kept everyone informed about when to be back on the boat, which made it easy to relax. Lunch was simple but served efficiently, and the return transfer dropped me exactly where I was collected, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller.

The first thing that stayed with me was the quiet splash of the boat cutting through the cold, clear water in the early spring light. I went with a small group of friends and we were all really looking forward to Butterfly Valley. Arriving there, with the high cliffs and the small beach, felt very peaceful, even if there were already a few other boats around. We walked a bit into the valley, heard birds and running water, and then went back for a swim. Later, the stop at the Blue Lagoon near Ölüdeniz was just as pretty, the sea a very soft blue-green and calm enough to float for ages. Lunch on board was simple but fresh, and the crew kept everything organized without being intrusive. The only downside was that the transfer minibus felt a bit crowded on the way back, but overall the day was relaxed and well-structured.

Expected a simple boat ride, but Butterfly Valley itself became the highlight for our family. In winter the cliffs feel very quiet and dramatic, and the kids loved skipping stones on the pebbly beach while we walked a bit into the valley. The swim stop at the Blue Lagoon was brief but refreshing, even with cooler water. Lunch on board was fine, not very special but enough, and the crew were patient helping families with wet towels and bags.

Booked this tour for a relaxed summer day with my partner and ended up enjoying it more than expected. Cruising towards Butterfly Valley, watching the cliffs grow taller and the sea turn a deeper shade of turquoise, felt almost unreal. We swam several times, and the stop at the Blue Lagoon in Ölüdeniz was the moment we both stayed quiet just to take it in. Lunch on board was simple but fresh, exactly what you want after being in the water. The only downside was a bit of waiting in the sun during hotel pickups, but once on the boat the pace felt easy and unhurried. Days later, what stays in my mind is the light on the water and how calm everything felt out there.

The moment the boat entered Butterfly Valley, with the cliffs suddenly blocking the winter sun, is what stayed with me. I joined with my parents and the pace suited them well: calm sailing, several chances to swim for the brave ones, and a simple but tasty lunch on board. The stop at the Blue Lagoon in Ölüdeniz felt shorter than we expected, yet the crew remained helpful and organised throughout, and hotel pickup in Fethiye made the whole day feel very easy.

Our guide’s quiet explanations set a relaxed tone for the day. The cruise between bays felt unhurried, with long swimming stops at Butterfly Valley and Gemiler Bay. Lunch was fine, though a bit basic.

Went in with fairly modest expectations about the organisation, but this day was run very smoothly. Pickup from our Fethiye hotel was right on the stated time, and the coach was more comfortable than I’d assumed for an autumn day of driving. The change from coach to the Dalyan river boat was straightforward, with the guide clearly explaining timings so no one was left guessing. Having set times for the mud baths and then Iztuzu Beach meant the day never felt rushed, even with a larger group. The only downside was a slightly long wait while people bought drinks before we left the beach, but overall the logistics made it an easy, relaxed day out.

The first thing that hit us stepping onto the coach was the soft whirr of the air conditioning against the heat outside – such a relief on a July day. My friend and I actually enjoyed the journey itself just as much as the stops. The drive from Fethiye wound through pine-covered hills, and the guide pointed out little villages and explained the history behind the rock tombs we later saw from the Dalyan river boat. Cruising along the river with the engine humming quietly and the reeds brushing past was incredibly relaxing. The transfer times were reasonable, though the coach felt a bit full on the way back. Still, everything ran on time, and being picked up and dropped back at the hotel made the whole day feel effortless.

Warm air, the low hum of the boat engine, and the smell of the river reeds set the tone for the day. Went solo and spent most of the time chasing the light for photos, and this trip really delivered. The best shots were from the Dalyan river, with the rock tombs catching the late afternoon sun, and later on Iztuzu Beach where the sky turned soft pink over the flat, empty sand. The mud baths were good fun, if a bit crowded, so there was some waiting around. Still, for photography and golden-hour views, this was exactly what I was after.

Our guide Ali set the tone straight away with clear info on what was included and what would cost extra, which I really appreciated. Transfers from Fethiye, the river boat, and the mud baths were all covered in the price, so there were no surprises apart from drinks and small fees. The river cruise past the rock tombs felt like very good value on its own, and the time at Iztuzu Beach was generous. Lunch was fine but quite basic. For a full summer day out with transport and a guide, it worked out as money well spent for me and my partner.

Warm pine-scented air and the soft thud of the boat against the Dalyan River are what linger most a few days on. The slow glide past the rock tombs, with the guide quietly pointing out details, felt almost surreal, and Iztuzu Beach was wide, calm and wonderfully undeveloped. The only downside was the coach feeling a bit full on the way back, but the views along the lake and river more than made up for it.

Almost surprised how much was included for the price. Hotel pickup in Fethiye was on time, the boat was clean, and lunch on board was simple but tasty and filling. The stop at Butterfly Valley and the winter light over the Blue Lagoon made the photos look great, even with a jacket on between swims. Only minor issue: renting snorkeling gear on the boat felt a bit overpriced compared to everything else.

Joined this tour with a close friend and ended up spending most of the day chatting and laughing with a small mixed group from different countries. The boat ride to Butterfly Valley and later to the Blue Lagoon felt relaxed, with enough time to swim and talk. Lunch on board was straightforward but fine, and the crew kept things organised without being pushy. Only minor downside was a slightly cramped return transfer, but overall it was a calm, sociable spring day on the water.
