Booked this last minute with a close friend and it turned out better than expected. The transfers were smooth, with a comfortable coach and then a slow, quiet boat ride along the river where you could actually hear the water and birds. In winter the air was cool on deck, so a jacket was useful, but the mud baths were still pleasantly warm. We had a short wait while the driver gathered people from different hotels, which made the start feel a bit disorganized, yet after that the timing between the river, the rock tomb viewpoints and Iztuzu Beach was relaxed and never rushed.

For anyone considering this, our kids still talk about the quiet ride along the Dalyan River, watching the rock tombs appear around each bend. Transfers were smooth, though the coach felt a bit packed after the mud baths. Soft autumn light, windows slightly open, and the guide’s calm explanations made the journeys between stops feel part of the experience, not just transport.

Booked this last minute with a friend and the highlight was drifting past the Kaunos rock tombs at sunset, then rinsing off the winter chill in the warm Dalyan mud baths. Bus was a bit crowded but still comfortable.

What stays in my mind is the soft golden light on the Dalyan River as we cruised past the rock tombs. The reflections on the water in late afternoon made it perfect for photos with my parents, even they got excited about taking pictures. Iztuzu Beach was quieter in autumn, so we could walk in light jackets and enjoy the sunset colours without crowds. The mud baths were funny and very relaxed. Only small downside: a bit of waiting around when changing from bus to boat. Overall a very easy, scenic day out.

Shared a relaxed spring day on the Dalyan river with my parents and a very friendly group, which made the long bus ride feel more like a school trip than a tour. People were chatting, swapping sunscreen and taking photos of each other by the mud baths. The guide kept a good balance between explanations about the rock tombs and letting us just enjoy the scenery. Iztuzu Beach was windy but pleasant, with everyone leaving their towels in a big colorful line near the water. Only small downside was a bit of waiting while some fellow travelers finished in the thermal pools, but it also gave us time to talk and compare plans for the rest of our holidays.

Impressive. Pickup from our hotel in Fethiye was right on time, and the coach was clean and warm, which mattered on a cool February morning. The transfer to the Dalyan river boat felt smooth, with the guide clearly explaining the schedule and return time. There was a bit of waiting while everyone rinsed off at the mud baths, but timing overall was well managed, even with the shorter winter daylight. Having a fixed meeting point at Iztuzu Beach made it easy for my parents to keep track, and we got back to Fethiye just around the promised hour.

This tour was calmer and better organized than I expected. The pace felt relaxed from the start, with an easy hotel pickup and a quiet drive before getting on the Dalyan River boat. Drifting past the rock tombs while the guide explained small details, like why the carvings face the river, set a very peaceful tone. Iztuzu Beach had enough free time to swim and walk without feeling rushed, even though it was busy in August. The mud baths area was a bit crowded and we waited for showers, but overall the day flowed smoothly and never felt stressful.

Expected a bit of chaos, but hotel pickup was right on time and the coach was comfortable. Smooth transfer to the Dalyan river boat, just some waiting at the mud baths. Spring sun, so sunscreen was essential.

Expected the mud baths to be a gimmick, but ended up laughing with my parents like kids, covered head to toe. Loved spotting turtles from the Dalyan river boat, even if the coach back felt a bit cramped.

Expected just a standard beach day, but the quiet moment drifting past the Kaunos rock tombs at dusk with my partner really stayed with me. Mud baths were fun, though the changing area felt a bit cramped.

Heat shimmered off the coach as we were picked up bang on time with my parents. Transfers were smooth, boat to the mud baths ran to schedule, though the return bus felt a bit cramped.

Booked this last minute while staying in Fethiye and was glad I did. The guide’s commentary on the rock tombs during the river cruise was clear and engaging. Mud baths were good fun, though the coach back felt a bit crowded in the evening heat.

Booked this last minute with a few friends and still keep thinking about the soft evening light over the rock tombs from the Dalyan river boat. Mud baths were fun, though the changing area felt a bit cramped.

Went in with fairly modest expectations about the organisation, but this day was run very smoothly. Pickup from our Fethiye hotel was right on the stated time, and the coach was more comfortable than I’d assumed for an autumn day of driving. The change from coach to the Dalyan river boat was straightforward, with the guide clearly explaining timings so no one was left guessing. Having set times for the mud baths and then Iztuzu Beach meant the day never felt rushed, even with a larger group. The only downside was a slightly long wait while people bought drinks before we left the beach, but overall the logistics made it an easy, relaxed day out.

The first thing that hit us stepping onto the coach was the soft whirr of the air conditioning against the heat outside – such a relief on a July day. My friend and I actually enjoyed the journey itself just as much as the stops. The drive from Fethiye wound through pine-covered hills, and the guide pointed out little villages and explained the history behind the rock tombs we later saw from the Dalyan river boat. Cruising along the river with the engine humming quietly and the reeds brushing past was incredibly relaxing. The transfer times were reasonable, though the coach felt a bit full on the way back. Still, everything ran on time, and being picked up and dropped back at the hotel made the whole day feel effortless.

Warm air, the low hum of the boat engine, and the smell of the river reeds set the tone for the day. Went solo and spent most of the time chasing the light for photos, and this trip really delivered. The best shots were from the Dalyan river, with the rock tombs catching the late afternoon sun, and later on Iztuzu Beach where the sky turned soft pink over the flat, empty sand. The mud baths were good fun, if a bit crowded, so there was some waiting around. Still, for photography and golden-hour views, this was exactly what I was after.

Our guide Ali set the tone straight away with clear info on what was included and what would cost extra, which I really appreciated. Transfers from Fethiye, the river boat, and the mud baths were all covered in the price, so there were no surprises apart from drinks and small fees. The river cruise past the rock tombs felt like very good value on its own, and the time at Iztuzu Beach was generous. Lunch was fine but quite basic. For a full summer day out with transport and a guide, it worked out as money well spent for me and my partner.

Warm pine-scented air and the soft thud of the boat against the Dalyan River are what linger most a few days on. The slow glide past the rock tombs, with the guide quietly pointing out details, felt almost surreal, and Iztuzu Beach was wide, calm and wonderfully undeveloped. The only downside was the coach feeling a bit full on the way back, but the views along the lake and river more than made up for it.
