Frequently Asked Questions About Yachts & Boats

Cabin Charter: You book an individual cabin on a shared boat with other travelers. The route, menu, and departure times are fixed.

Private Charter: You rent the entire vessel exclusively for your party. The itinerary, meal schedules, and daily pace are tailored entirely to your group.

Yes. While standard routes exist (e.g., Marmaris to Fethiye or Göcek Bays), on a private charter you can adapt the route with the captain. Stopovers depend on weather, wind conditions, and safety, but your crew will tailor swimming stops, harbor visits, and anchorages to your preferences.

Special Diets: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or specific food allergies can be accommodated if communicated prior to departure.

Drinks Policy: On private charters, you are usually allowed to bring your own alcoholic and soft drinks, or you can order a pre-stocked bar package.

Bathrooms: Modern gulets feature private en-suite bathrooms (shower and WC) in every cabin.

Electricity: standard 220V European sockets are available. Generators run several hours a day (during cruising and meal prep) to charge devices and operate air conditioning.

Water Toys: Most boats carry equipment like paddleboards, kayaks, and snorkeling gear. Larger luxury gulets may offer jet skis or water skiing (sometimes for an extra fuel fee).

Yes. Unlike group excursions with rigid schedules, a private guide and driver adjust the day to your pace. You can spend more time at sites that interest you and skip those that don't.

All-Inclusive Private Package: Covers transportation, professional licensed guide, entrance tickets, and lunch.

Flexi-Package: Covers vehicle and private driver/guide, giving you the flexibility to choose where to eat and which sites to enter.

Luggage Advice: Bring soft-sided duffel bags instead of hard shell suitcases. Soft bags are much easier to fold and store inside nautical cabin closets.

Tipping the Crew: Tipping is customary on private charters if you are happy with the service (typically 5%–10% of the total charter price, handed to the captain at the end of the trip to distribute among the crew).

Barefoot Policy: Shoes are generally not worn inside or on the teak deck of gulets. Soft deck shoes or non-slip socks can be used if needed.
